What’s different about zLOCK?
Traditional approach: Pedicle Screws and Rods
In most fusions, the surgeon places screws into each vertebra, usually four for one level, and connects them with metal rods. The screws and rods form a frame on the outside of the spine to provide the stabilization needed for successful fusion.

The zLOCK Implant
zLOCK is a small titanium implant that is placed inside the facet joints, providing the same stability by utilizing the natural anatomy of the spine.
One implant goes into each side, bending to match the shape of your joint and gripping the bone to stabilize the segment.
